Why should I ballrace my Tamiya Radio Control Car
As standard, Tamiya cars (with a few exceptions) come with plastic or brass/alloy bushings for all rotating parts. The shaft or wheel spins on a thin layer of grease within the bearing - this slowly attracts dirt and wears away, reducing performance and giving a small wobble. Ballraces (strictly, precision engineered bearings) feature an inner and outer surface, between which are sealed tiny ball bearings - the outer surface clings to the wheel or gear, the inner surface clings to the shaft and it spins effortlessly on the ball bearings. Result More efficiency, more run time and slightly higher speed.
