The Landfreeder Quadtrack is a fresh new twist on the fun world of Tamiya R/C. This kit uses a new variant of the TT-02 chassis with three-sided track units in place of the wheels: the result is awesome traction that can be used to take on rough terrain. Furthermore, the polycarbonate truck body comes already pre-painted in Tamiya PS-5 black.
 
Pricing Note: We have priced this kit above, as we do the whole range, assuming that you will not require the standard ESC unit.  If you would like the kit with the ESC included, simply add the Carson Dragster or Tamiya Hobbywing ESC from the drop down below - which adds £15-£18 to the total.  Note also, Tamiya kits do not come shrink wrapped in the UK or Japan. The box sticker will state "ESC Included" whether you order it with or without this unit.
 
- 1/10 scale R/C model assembly kit. Length: 425, width: 247mm.
- The Landfreeder body comes molded in polycarbonate, pre-painted Black (PS-5) and with Smoke (PS-31) painted windows. Separate plated parts recreate grille cover, fog lamps and roll bar.
- The TT-02FT is a variant of the TT-02 chassis, with four tracks on its suspension.
- Each of the three-sided track units is 39.3mm in width and has a contact area of 60mm length. Tracks require assembly from link parts, and offer efficient traction.
- Two types of elastomer track link (standard and grouser) are included for setup options.
- Track units are attached to suspension arms via plates, and each features a sprocket and four rollers. The third roller is sprung to further enhance performance.
- Polycarbonate chassis cover and wheel well liners give protection from dust and dirt encountered during off-road driving.
- TT-02 four-bevel differentials and identical suspension arms are used.
- Includes 540-brushed type motor.
- Requires: 2-channel radio with steering servo, ESC, 7.2 volt battery pack and compatible charger.

Bearing note - this car uses a bearing set as follows: 64 x 850, 12 x 1150, 8 x 1050, 4 x 1280 Bearings.
If you are not concerned about the extended axle gearboxes for the tracks running on the supplied brass bearings, please instead order: 12 x BEA1150, 8 x BEA1050, 4 x BEA1280.

Options Explained

Bearing Upgrade: These make the car run more smoothly and are easily installed during assembly. If there is no option for these shown, then the kit already includes the bearing upgrade as standard. These are entirely optional.

Radio System: There is a choice of a TWIN STICK (Traditional) radio or a Steering Wheel (Modern) radios. All operate on 2.4Ghz and use the new Crystal-Free technology, so you can run multiple cars at the same time without any interference. All radios chosen from this page will include a steering servo as these are not included in the kit itself.

ESC: This is the connection between the radio system and the motor. You have several choices. The standard Tamiya unit is currently unavailable due to the chip shortage, so Tamiya are offering a choice of a Tamiya Hobbywing or Carson Dragster (Tamiya Germany) units. Where a model number is shown (e.g. 20 or 15) that is the motor capacity of the unit - the lower the number, the more powerful a motor you can install later. All work with the motor in the kit.

Battery: The higher the number, the longer the run time.

Charger: Charge time is proportional to the battery you choose. Some examples - for the 1800 battery (others will take longer) - USB charger takes around 4 hours, Mid Speed around 2 to 3 hours, Etronix Fast Charger can be as quick as 30 minutes in the house and Ansmann Delta also around 30 minutes (and also works in the car).
