Tamiya welcomes back Item 58062 1/10 R/C Hotshot II - originally released in 1987 - with a twist! The Hotshot II is one of the earliest 4WD buggy models and this had not been re-released until today. Following Item 58695 (1/10 R/C Wild One Off-Roader Blockhead Motors), this is the second model of our Jun Watanabe R/C buggy re-releases. This model is the 4WD buggy based on Item 58062, and the sticker is designed by Jun Watanabe's brand "BLOCKHEAD MOTORS'' which deals in stickers and apparel, and customizations of Tamiya off road buggy models from the 1980s, also taking part in the design of collaborative fashion, music, and skateboard projects to expand the horizons of R/C cars.
 
About the model
• This is a 1/10 scale R/C assembly kit. Length: 390mm, width: 235mm, height: 150mm.
• Polycarbonate body (0.7mm thickness) of the Hotshot II is pre-cut and pre-painted in brilliant blue. (Cutlines and marks to make holes are added from the original Hotshot II 58062 body.)
• New roll cage is positioned higher to ensure raised driver position for more realism. In accordance with this matter, upper frame is also updated.
• Uprights and wheels are matte-finish metal-plated.
• Includes new stickers designed by Jun Watanabe's brand "BLOCKHEAD MOTORS".
• Number plates, light pods, side plates, window nets and dummy antenna are also included.
• 4-wheel double wishbone suspension utilizes one front transverse and two rear CVA II oil dampers.

Pricing Note: We have priced this kit above, as we do the whole range, assuming that you will not require the standard ESC unit.  If you would like the kit with the ESC included, simply add one from the drop down below. The box sticker may state "ESC Included" whether you order it with or without this unit.

 
Options Explained

Bearing Upgrade: These make the car run more smoothly and are easily installed during assembly. If there is no option for these shown, then the kit already includes the bearing upgrade as standard. These are entirely optional.

Radio System: There is a choice of a TWIN STICK (Traditional) radio or a Steering Wheel (Modern) radios. All operate on 2.4Ghz and use the new Crystal-Free technology, so you can run multiple cars at the same time without any interference. All radios chosen from this page will include a steering servo as these are not included in the kit itself.

ESC: This is the connection between the radio system and the motor. You have several choices. The standard Tamiya unit is currently unavailable due to the chip shortage, so Tamiya are offering a choice of a Tamiya Hobbywing or Carson Dragster (Tamiya Germany) units. Where a model number is shown (e.g. 20 or 15) that is the motor capacity of the unit - the lower the number, the more powerful a motor you can install later. All work with the motor in the kit.

Battery: The higher the number, the longer the run time.

Charger: Charge time is proportional to the battery you choose. Some examples - for the 1800 battery (others will take longer) - Overnight charger takes around 6 hours, Mid Speed around 2 to 3 hours, Ansmann 3 amp around 40 minutes and Hyper Delta around 30 minutes (if in the car, takes around an hour in the house).
