This kit is due Spring/Summer 2024 and is open for pre-order now. We do not at this time have any sort of firm date. Limited numbers may come in the first batch - pre-ordering is recommended to improve your chance. Note: When you pre-order, you do not pay until release (unless you want to) but you must supply a valid card during checkout so that we can charge you when the model arrives.
As with all Tamiya kits, supply cannot be guaranteed as deliveries are often cut short by the manufacturer due to worldwide demand, please use the PRE-ORDER payment system with your credit or debit card, rather than paying by Paypal or Credit Card (Pay Now) options for this. Note also, Tamiya kits do not come shrink wrapped in the UK or Japan.
To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the 1/16 R/C Sherman kit in 2024, Tamiya is delighted to announce the reproduction of Item 56014 1/16 R/C M4 Sherman 105mm Howitzer Full-Option Kit.
The M4 Sherman was a mainstay of the Allied WWII war effort and was manufactured in several different variants including the 105mm howitzer depicted by this highly realistic R/C model assembly kit. Along with the accurate form of the vehicle, this model features moving suspension, realistic sounds and even lights for a truly all-encompassing scale armor experience.

There are no "options" for radios etc on this listing as we are waiting for the full spec. Last time this kit was current (approx 20 years ago) it used a different radio set up to the other tanks in the range, we are waiting to confirm if this is again the situation or if it now uses a standard Carson 6 Channel as per the other models.
