Begin your model railway hobby with the Bachmann Branchline Suburban Sulzer Train Set, a complete OO gauge train set containing everything you need to get started. With a detailed diesel locomotive, two suburban coaches, track, controller and layout mat included, it provides an ideal introduction to the world of model railways.
For generations, railway services have carried commuters from the suburbs into Britain's major towns and cities. Before the widespread use of modern multiple-unit trains, many suburban services were operated using locomotive-hauled coaching stock. The Suburban Sulzer recreates this classic railway scene with a Class 25 diesel locomotive, powered by its distinctive Sulzer engine, hauling two BR Mk1 suburban coaches.
The Class 25 diesel locomotive in BR Green livery provides the motive power for the train, while the two BR Mk1 57ft Suburban Coaches in BR Crimson livery complete the period-style commuter service. Together, they recreate the appearance of a traditional locomotive-hauled suburban train connecting the city with surrounding communities.
As an OO Scale / OO Gauge train set, the Bachmann Suburban Sulzer is compatible with other OO Scale and OO Gauge locomotives, rolling stock and track, allowing you to expand your layout as your model railway develops.
