Widely recognized as the best modern day Main Battle Tank (MBT), Tamiya introduces the latest German Leopard 2 tank, the Leopard 2 A6, to the 1/16 scale R/C tank series. Tamiya’s biggest R/C tank ever, it’s just like driving the real thing!

About the Leopard 2 A6
The latest upgrade to the Leopard 2 is a newly designed 55 caliber 120mm smoothbore main gun. Measuring 1.3m longer than the 44 caliber main gun of its predecessor, the Leopard 2 A5, the new gun of the 2 A6 provides higher projectile velocity for increased range and penetration. The 2 A6 retains improvements made to previous Leopard 2 tanks including wedge shaped spaced armor effective against chemical weapons and improved electric gun control and stabilization system. The use of the 2 A6 continues to spread throughout Europe with the Netherlands, Spain and Greece adopting the 2 A6 as their main battle tank.

Comes with DMD Unit T-07 for real action movement, lighting and digital sound effects

2 lighting modes (same as the real tank) for a total of 7 lighting combinations

Real action movement includes:

	Rotating turret: 360 degrees in 9 seconds (same as the real tank)
	Gun elevation: maximum elevation 20 degrees, maximum depression 9 degrees
	Sharp turning and pivot turning
	Gun automatically reloads and returns to original firing position

German Panther (Panzer) Type G 1/16
Tamiya's peerless 1/16 R/C Tank products are the ultimate in realistic indulgence, and with the German Tiger I and King Tiger already released, it is only natural that we now add the famous Panther Type G to the lineup. Tamiya staff even visited the renowned collection of the Musee des Blindes in Saumur, France in order to create the most accurate Panther sounds possible. Pit it against the previously released US Sherman and Pershing tanks on your own mock battlefield.

Running Performance
Front-mounted pre-assembled gearbox contains two type 380 motors to provide reliable all-terrain mobility. Dual motors can operate together or individually to replicate realistic tank movement. Metal torsion bars and suspension arms combine with wide tracks to realize smooth running and excellent manoeuvrability.

Die-Cast Metal Parts
For heightened reliability and realism, metal parts have been used for suspension parts, drive sprockets and idler wheels.

Pre-Assembled Tracks

Durable resin wide tread tracks are pre-assembled for maximum convenience. Metal shafts are used to connect track links for heightened strength and to create powerful movement. Adjust track tension by tightening or loosening tension adjustment screws.

Main Action
Turret can be rotated 360 degrees and main gun can be moved between 12 degree elevation and 10 degree declination accompanied by mechanical sounds. You can control moving speed and position via transmitter stick.

Shaped Aluminium Gun Barrel
High precision aluminium gun barrel does not require shaping or sanding for removing mold separation lines. This quality 75mm gun heightens overall looks of the tank.

Sound Effects
Realistic sounds accompany every movement such as turret rotation and gun elevation. The engine sounds were digitally recorded at the Saumur Tank Museum in France from a very rare working Maybach V12 tank engine. Speaker unit in the rear produces realistic and awesome engine running sounds and 2 types of engine starting sounds (electric starter and crank starter).

Visual Effects
When firing main gun, muzzle flashes, speaker roars and recoil gearbox retracts gun barrel, then slowly returns it to standard position. In addition to this action, the hull itself recoils by means of gearbox movement. Machine gun is also linked with firing sound and LED muzzle flash.

Full-Option Set includes DMD Control Unit (T-03) and DMD Multi Function Unit (MF-01) to put turret rotation, gun elevation and light and sound effects at your fingertips.

DMD Control Unit T-03
The unit includes two FET speed controllers for operating two running motors. Independent circuits for turret rotation motor and gun elevation motor are also installed. With this unit, R/C tanks can be controlled easily just like an R/C car.

DMD Multi Function Unit MF-01
Connect to DMD control unit T-03 to provide many realistic effects such as main/machine gun firing sounds, muzzle flash and recoil movement.

Reference Materials
Model comes with full color Finishing Guide with illustrations and photographs to use when painting tank. Reverse side features story of the Panther tanks of 25th Panzergrenadier Division in four languages (Japanese, English, German & French).

Guidebooks
Set includes detailed Operation Manual which explains how to run the tank and achieve various operations. The clearly illustrated Parts List gives number and name of each part.

Not only can the model move forward and backward and turn with a great sense of power, but the turret can be rotated and the 88mm gun raised and lowered. To imitate the firing of the main gun and of front machinegun, light flashes while sound is heard. The sound of the engine has been recorded, with the assistance of the French museum of Saumur, from a real Maybach HL230-P30 engine of the only King Tiger kept in working condition in the world. Not only all stages of engine sound (idling through full throttle) but also all the metallic clanking of the tank tracks have been thoroughly recorded. Click picture for larger view.	Tamiya has put incredible power and versatility of the German Tiger I in your fingertips with this 1/16 scale, fully functional R/C tank. Check out the firing of the main cannon, complete with true to life flash and cannon recoil. The shot is so powerful that it actually causes the tank itself to recoil, just like the full size Tiger I. The only working King Tiger tank in the world is on display at the Saumur Tank Museum in France. Since the Tiger I used basically the same type of Maybach powerplant, some Tamiya staff members made their way to France to investigate. Tamiya keeps increasing its knowledge about R/C tanks and improving the realism of their movement and sound to make their appearance even more striking. The sound of the engine was digitally recorded from a real Ford GAF liquid cooled V8 engine of the M26 Pershing at the Ropkey Armor Museum.
